BARRING any last minute adjustment, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) will shut down the nation’s ports today over alleged unpaid wages to Tally Clerks and Onboard security men.
The workers are also challenging alleged midstream discharge of vessels in Bonny Rivers, Lagos and other port formations without using registered dockworkers.
The workers had on October 12, 2015 issued a 7-day ultimatum to the management of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to stop all midstream discharge of vessels in Bonny Rivers, Lagos and other port formations without using registered dockworkers.
