Telecommunications firm and sole sponsor of the Nigerian Premier League, Globacom, has called on Nigeria’s senior national male team, the Super Eagles, to work assiduously towards defeating the Swaziland National team, the Sihlangu Semnikati, in Lobamba today in continuation of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Globacom, in a press statement issued yesterday, advised the Super Eagles to be prepared for a tough encounter, as there are no minnows in African football again, adding that the Swaziland team will be battle-ready, having recently trashed Djibouti by eight goals to one in the preliminary round.
“It’s going to be a crucial encounter from which the Eagles must emerge victorious to advance to the league stage,” the statement said.
While advising the technical crew to go for the “most fit players who can withstand the pressure associated with away matches of this magnitude,” Globacom urged the entire team to give its best and ensure that it emerges victorious in the encounter and, thus, make the second leg in Port Harcourt less cumbersome.
“The Super Eagles should make Nigerians happy and complement the victories of the Golden Eaglets in Dubai and the Falconets in South Africa by going for victory in Swaziland,” the statement concluded.
