As part of its ongoing expansion drive, GAC Motor has unveiled new GS5 crossover Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Already, GAC has commenced recruitment drive for staff in vehicle engineering, process and technology, management and marketing sectors in Europe.
In the United States of America, GAC is signing up dealers and has established a Research & Development center located in Silicon Valley.
Meanwhile, the automaker, which was founded 10 years ago sold 500,000 vehicles across 15 countries including Nigeria in 2017.
The state-owned automaker had in 2017 explained agenda to start selling cars in the U.S. in 2019
According to the company, the GS5 SUV which was unveiled at the Paris Auto Show boast of 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine in some markets, adding that engine will deliver outputs of around 150 and 170 horsepower. Buyers will also be able to choose from either a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
GAC Motor President, Yu Jun said: “This is GAC Motor’s first trip to the Paris motor show, and we hope to communicate and learn from fellow world-leading automobile brands on this incredible platform and introduce the GAC Motor brand to more people.”
