The crisis rocking Oando Plc took a new dimension on Sunday as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) appoints an interim management team for the company. According to SEC, the management team headed by Mr. Mutiu Olaniyi Adio Sunmonu CON, is to oversee the affairs of Oando Plc, and conduct an Extra Ordinary General Meeting on or before July 1, 2019 to appoint new Directors to the Board of the Company, who would subsequently select a Management Team for Oando Plc. The statement signed by SEC’s head of Media, Efe Ebelo explained that the commission “wishes to reiterate its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the market”. Mr. Sunmonu served as the Managing Director of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited from 2004 to March 1, 2015. He also served as Vice President of Production Sub-Saharan Africa at Royal Dutch Shell plc and served as its Country Chairman
