For the Month of September, Suzuki attained 152,608 sales in the Indian market.
According to Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), domestic sales increased 32.2% at 152,608 units in September 2020 as against 115,452 units in the same period last year.
In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, the automaker saw an uptick of 33.9% at 147,912 units as against 110,454 units in September 2019.
Domestic sales, which includes the PV and the light commercial vehicle (LCV) Super Carry sales were recorded at 150,040 units last month, up 33.4% as against 112,500 units in the same period last year.
However, the company sold 2,568 units to other OEMs, a drop of 13% as compared to 2,952 units sold in September 2019.
For the Mini segment models (Alto and S-Presso), MSIL domestic sales clocked 27,246 units in September 2020, an increase of 35.7% as compared to 20,085 units sold in September 2019. Meanwhile, the Compact segment (WagonR, Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Tour S, Dzire) saw an uptick of 47.3% at 84,213 units as against 57,179 units sold in the same period last year.
Similarly, Utility Vehicles segment (Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, XL6) grew 10.1% at 23,699 units in September 2020 as against 21,526 units in September last year.
Total sales (domestic + exports) for the month under review stood at 160,442 units, up 30.% as compared to 122,640 units in September 2019.
The company’s total export sales saw an uptick of 9% at 7,834 units in the last month as against 7,188 units in the same period last year.
