The Nigerian Shippers’ Council has commenced talks with the Borno State Government in order to establish an Inland Dry Port in Maiduguri, the state capital.
This is with a view to deepening the connectivity of the northern region of the country with conventional seaports in order to enhance trade and commerce.
Executive Secretary/CEO of the Council, who held a meeting with the governor, Prof Babagana Zulum at the government house, Maiduguri, recently disclosed that both parties have commenced talks that would crystallise in the establishment of an IDP.
