The Centre For Political Orientation and Leadership Training has challenged the Federal Government to prosecute promoters of election violence.
Delivering a paper in a workshop titled, “Governance for 21st Century African Leaders” in Abuja, Professor Mike Otabor, who is also an Executive Director and Resource Person at the Centre questioned the rationale for African politicians reacting negatively each time they lose election but will not revert otherwise when they win nor appreciate the voting public.
Citing the just concluded Edo Governorship election, Professor Otabor condemned those who allegedly sponsored violence in some parts of the state.
He also criticised Yiaga Africa for allegedly rushing to press to fault the process.
He advised the Government and INEC to take notice of some election observers.
