The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Inaugurated the state-of-the-art Corporate Headquarters of Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) in a grand ceremony in Asokoro, Abuja.
This event marked a pivotal moment in the company’s history, reinforcing its role as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s real estate sector.
In his address, Lieutenant General Oluyede commended the completion of the iconic structure, describing it as a remarkable achievement that elevates PHDL’s reputation.
He highlighted the building’s significance in advancing the company’s mission to provide quality post-service housing for Nigerian Army personnel, a cornerstone of his welfare-driven leadership agenda. The COAS also lauded Major General Joseph Omali, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of PHDL, for his unwavering dedication, vision, and exemplary leadership.
In his Welcome Address, Major General Omali provided insights into the project’s origins, recognizing the steadfast support of the COAS and the foresight of his predecessors who envisioned and sustained the project. He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the landmark facility. The commissioned project encompasses a comprehensive suite of facilities, including the Corporate Headquarters, three blocks of 18 flats for officers, an office block for the Regimental Sergeant Major/Mechanical Transport Yard, a cafeteria, and places of worship.
The event brought together past MD/CEOs of PHDL, who were honored for their foundational contributions, along with other dignitaries. Key moments included the unveiling ceremony, a guided tour of the facility, and a commemorative group photograph, marking a historic milestone for PHDL.
