The Ogun State Government and Transmission Company Of Nigeria (TCN) have concluded plans to construct a $200million facility in Ogun as part of measures to boost power supply.
According to the Managing Director of TCN, Mr Usman Mohammed, the project, when completed, would address the inadequate transmission capacity of the entire nation.
Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has assured the company of the needed support.
He said:“This is one of the biggest project we are doing in Nigeria,” Mohammed said, adding “We have never done something like that before and that is why this is very key.”
He explained that the capacity of the facility would be 544MW, adding that it would give room for flexibility and growth.
