
The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), on Friday received Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), as his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, Director General, NADDC at the Council’s Headquarters, Abuja.
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between the two organizations, particularly in promoting Nigeria’s automotive innovation and development through media outreach.
Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace expressed the importance of leveraging media to shape a positive narrative about Nigeria and Africa, emphasizing that global recognition of innovations and developments starts with effective storytelling.
He noted that Voice of Nigeria, with its unique ability to broadcast in English and eight other languages, can serve as a key platform for sharing Nigeria’s automotive industry advancements.
Mr. Ndace offered VON’s services to NADDC, stressing the role of public media in communicating the Council’s efforts, such as the promotion of environmental friendly vehicles and best practices in the sector. He also highlighted how these efforts align with the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on creating more efficient transportation for Nigerians while encouraging self-reliance.
Responding, Mr. Osanipin thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for placing VON under the leadership of capable hands, and emphasized the significance of using the platform’s extensive reach to amplify NADDC’s initiatives. He stressed that the collaboration would aid in conveying the progress of the Renewed Hope Agenda to Nigerians, ultimately fostering local solutions for local challenges.
