As the 2025 Sectoral Retreat of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy wraps up in Abuja, Heads of Agencies under the Ministry—including the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) have signed a performance bonds committing to clear targets for the year ahead.

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Dr. Akutah Pius MON, signed the bond, reinforcing the Council’s commitment to regulatory efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes. 

The bond outlines deliverables tied to automation, inland port development, trade data systems, and enhanced service delivery.

The ceremony concluded two days of high-level dialogue and presentations aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s marine and blue economy sector for growth, transparency, and global competitiveness.
