AAAF empowers widows, orphans, others in Northern Nigeria

Since the inception of its Northern Nigeria operations few years ago, the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SIFAX Group, has empowered over 6,000 indigents people, including destitute, widows and orphans.

 This was disclosed by the foundation’s Northern Chapter Coordinator, Hajiya Adama Shehu Aliyu during the maiden public seminar organized by the foundation in Zaria, Kaduna state, with the theme: “Touching Lives, Changing the World”. The event was graced by senior government officials of the Kaduna State government, royal fathers, partner agencies and the foundation’s beneficiaries.

She said the organization is dedicated to creating positive changes in the lives of impoverished people by empowering and improving the living conditions of those suffering under the burden of poverty and other social disabilities.

The Coordinator further said over 6,000 beneficiaries of the foundation have been trained in various skills such as computer literacy, tailoring, shoe making and other relevant skills to enable them become financially independent while they the graduates from skills acquisition programmes were equipped with the necessary tools necessary to help them become independent.
