Aduvie Celebrates Universal Children’s Day With Art Exhibition

Aduvie International school, Abuja  in partnership with ‘Stop don’t drop’ celebrates the Universal children’s day with an Arts Exhibition centered on Up cycling (recycling) putting waste and trashed objects into use.
 This according to a statement from the school will help save, keep and protect our green planet. 
 Head of School,  Mr Abiodun Olusoji who signed the statement, said “When we throw things away, they end up in places and in most cases they remain and begin to work against us. 
 “For example, according to Ocean Unite, an online marine plastic pollution publication, there are more plastic in the oceans than fishes. A whole lot going wrong with our oceans and if humanity does not retrace her steps, by 2050, there would be more plastics than fishes in the oceans! 
 He said Aduvie’s 2018 Arts exhibition edition which is the 7th in the series  is tagged ‘A place called away’ and is poised to not only feature Up cycled Arts Exhibition, Trashion show and Auction but also to disabuse the minds of her students and the society in general about binning things properly, about going green, about inculcating an eco-friendly attitude. 
Pupils, students and teachers from nursery, primary and secondary school have worked with the Arts department to put up some tremendous art pieces ranging from paintings and refurbishing of trashed furniture, 3D paintings on canvas, shell on mirrors, green houses made out of plastic bottles, trashion show case, tyre works, mosaic etc. 
 Proceeds from the exhibition would be channeled towards continuous awareness crusade and campaign on up cycling.  
 The event is scheduled to hold on Friday 16th November, 2018 at 10:00 am prompt at Aduvie International School, Jahi District, Abuja.
