The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF), Zouera Youssoufou, alongside the Foundation’s Head of Community Engagement and Polio Eradication, Ahmed Iya, has visited the headquarters of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah to strengthen collaboration on social development initiatives.
During the visit, the ADF delegation met with the Vice President (Operations) of the IsDB, Rami Ahmad, where they highlighted the Foundation’s interventions and achievements in improving lives across different communities and countries.
The delegation noted that the Foundation has continued to make significant impact through strategic investments aimed at enhancing healthcare and wellbeing, promoting quality education, and expanding empowerment opportunities for individuals and communities.
Speaking during the meeting, Rami Ahmad expressed optimism about the prospects of a productive partnership between the IsDB and the Aliko Dangote Foundation.
He observed that many member countries of the IsDB are currently facing serious debt challenges, limiting their ability to invest adequately in people, social welfare, and livelihoods, stressing the need for stronger collaboration with development-focused organisations.
