Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has advised members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to embark on development projects as part of measures to impact positively their host communities.

Speaking at the NYSC Orientation Camp during the formal closing of this year’s Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course for corps members deployed to the state, Ambode, who was represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Mr Oluseye Oladejo, said the NYSC scheme impacted positively on the socio-economic development of the country, particularly the rural communities, through community development projects by its members.

He urged the Corps members to  be diligent, dedicated and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties.

He added: “I assure you that as you move into the various communities, you will find the environment conducive to live and work in.”
