As part of the ongoing Pre-Mission exercise in Kogi State being led by the Project Operations Manager, Dr. Salisu Garba, APPEALS Project teams have visited direct beneficiaries of the project across different parts of the state to see first-hand how the project has transformed their livelihoods.

The Pre-ISM team in Kogi was divided into four groups and tasked to visit and interact with leaders and members of supported clusters, CIGs, and SMEs at the various project intervention sites.

Clusters/intervention sites visited in Kogi East senatorial district of the state include Ochaja and Umami Cashew value Chain Clusters, and three locations of WYEP intervention in Ayingba.

In Kogi Central, the group visited the Ihima cassava production cluster, WYEP Integrated farm cluster at Federal College of Education Okene, and Irepeni (Uro) cashew production cluster.

In Kogi West,  Isanlu-Mopa, Egbeda-Egga, and Odo-Ape clusters were visited. The project supported the beneficiaries in cashew and cassava value chain production. The group assessment shows that beneficiaries of the project are making tremendous progress towards achieving the desired project development objective.
