A cross-section of automobile Journalists in Nigeria has congratulated General Manager, Mandilas Mobility Division, Kemi Koyejo, who attained the age of 60 on Friday, September 23, 2022.
In a tribute titled: “Best Wishes To A Media Friendly-Corporate Executive At 60, the Motoring Editor, Sun Newspaper, Moses Akaigwe wrote:.
“I first met Kemi in the early days of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and it has been more than three decades of unbroken and very warm friendship at the professional level since then.
Largely sustaining this cordiality, is her effervescent personality; strength of character; kind-heartedness; hard work; dedication to her duties and self-discipline. Corporate and brand managers who are genuinely friendly and caring to those they interface with within the media (beyond the usual perfunctory efforts to get good press) are hard to come by.
But Kemi stands out and has been a shining example since her days in the Motors Division of the Mandilas Group. Many Motoring Editors have not forgotten that it was courtesy of Kemi and Mandilas that we were privileged to be among the early customers when mobile GSM telephone berthed in Nigeria. That was the time it cost as much as N70,000 to purchase a starter pack and a handset. Kemi, no occasion is more auspicious to celebrate you and express my gratitude to you, than your Diamond Birthday. I trust that this special event today will be as lovely as you are wonderful! I am praying to God for many more birthdays ahead in good health.
Kemi Koyejo has been one of the most remarkable personalities I came across in my over 3 decades of being a Motoring journalist.
From the first day of meeting her at Mandilas Motors mid 1990s, she has left a positive impression that in turn rubs on the media image of Mandilas Motors. Because of Kemi, Mandilas has over the years been one of the closest friends of Motoring media of my generation.
One thing Motoring journalists of my generation would always remember is that our first mobile telephone lines and phones were gifts to us from Mandilas, under Kemi’s marketing management.
Indeed, Kemi has been a true diamond in the ocean of automotive marketing in Nigeria

Theodore Opara, Vanguard Newspaper:
How do I congratulate my big sister KEMI KOYEJO as she clocks 60 today? Silver and gold I do not have but what I have is a prayer to Almighty God to continue to bless you, protect you, give you good health and grant you your heart desires. Knowing Kemi for more than two decades in the course of my journalism profession has been a blessing to me and my family, which has transcended into a family relationship. My wife, son and daughter are all fond of her. One good thing about this my big sister is that you can’t stop liking her if you encounter her for once. She is a friend of all, especially journalists who had met her in the course of their job, even when most of them had left the beat. I can describe her as a friend of journalists, a marketer to the core with an unmatched pedigree in public relations On behalf of my family, Vivian, my wife, daughter, Theodora and son, Tochukwu, who are very fond of Aunty Kemi, I wish our big sister from another parent, a happy birthday Age gracefully, Madam

If you are looking for someone who is very accommodating, calculative, humane, and very accessible, Madam Kemi Koyejo rightly comes to mind. With over 25 years of experience as a journalist, I have known her for more than 20 years, and I make bold to say within a short time, she has contributed significantly to the growth and development of Nigeria’s Auto industry. She is an asset of inestimable value to Nigeria’s Auto industry and a reliable ally of automotive journalists in Nigeria. Best wishes as you clock 60

I call her big sister. Kemi Koyejo is a big sister to so many people out there, especially journalists. Celebrating her at 60 is a very difficult task. Yes, difficult! How do you celebrate somebody who has touched so many lives and is still touching lives in a single tribute? Only a complete book with at least 14 chapters can do justice to Kemi’s commitment to true friendship. I met big Sister Kemi for the first time more than 20 years ago, in the company of other journalists. A few days after the meeting, she invited us again to Mandilas Head Office in Lagos and handed over to us our first GSM telephone. I still use the same telephone number to date. She believes so much in hard work. It’s either the best result or nothing. Kemi’s integrity is second to none. She bares her mind and is very blunt. She is a bridge builder, chief organizer and a great personality who’s highly gifted in human capacity development. Happy 60th birthday and many happy returns.
