Autocheck Expands Website, Mobile Application Agenda

Autochek, a one-stop automotive technology firm, on Thursday In Lagos Nigeria, unveiled its application and website, where customers can buy, sell and fix cars, using smartphones from the comfort of any location.  

Using autochek.africa and the mobile application that can be downloaded from Googleplay, customers according to the firm can lock down a car of their choice with a deposit funds to own a car, get a better deal for selling their cars, disgnose their cars and enjoy premium maintenance service, right at their door step. 

According to Autocheck, Customers can also enjoy other packages put together to ensure a seamless ownership of cars, access to a wide range of brands, both new and used, visibility  of the condition of your choice car, registration, of both local and foreign used cars , access to an extensive list of car workshops in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt,  Accra and other major cities in Nigeria and West Africa. 

Speaking at the colorful ceremony held at the Civic Centre, Chief Executive Officer of Autocheck, Etop Ikpe said the company has put in place all necessary infrastructure designed to promote and provide prompt services. 

 Explaining further at the ceremony attended by representatives of key stakeholders such as Dr Adebola Akindele,Ikpe described the Industry as huge, adding that only technology can create value.

Emphasising the critical role of automotive sector to economic development, Ikpe explained that in Nigeria, the sector is the second largest consumer of foreign exchange (forex). 

 The company according to its promoters is on a journey to transform the African automobile industry by using technology to re-create the buying, maintenance and selling experience of motorists and car owners in the Africa continent. 

  Commenting on the launch, the Vice President Commercial, Mayokun Fadeyibo said “Autocheck is the future of the African automobile industry”, adding that “Its not for nothing we recently closed a $3.4million pre-seed to boost our service delivery in the auto market.” 

Explaining further, Fadeyibi said: “The launching of the website and mobile application reflects Autocheck‘s commitment to providing viable solution to the challenges of the automotive industry in Nigeria and Africa. 

“We are proud of the resources and services put together for the convenience of our customers by our distinguished team of technology experts and we are very excited about the future of Autocheck in leading and expanding the frontiers of the African automotive industry at large.” 

Available information indicates that the newly launched website and mobile application are an end-to-end auto solution offering that gives the customer a wide array of options from sales to maintenance and financing, helping the customer make informed automobile decision with convenience. 

“The mobile application and website features auto brand, auto product details and descriptions. Autocheck doctors for an automatic diagnosis of your car problems and a service booking platform for the inspection of cars customers want to sell.

In addition to the said features, Ikpe explained further that they are pleased to have provided a key solution to tackling some of the challenges posed by a lack of auto funding in the African automotive Industry. 

Autocheck’s website and mobile application come with a “get pre-qualifies” feature where customers can receive funding to own the car of their dream. 

Having gone through the pre-qualification process, Customers can browse a personalized inventory just for them and enjoy installmental payments on received car loan. 

At the event also attended by foremost movie icon, Richard Mofe-Damijo, a demo session was held to guide users on how to navigate through the website and the mobile application so they can take advantage of its vast offering, helping to ensure that all car troubles for auto users and motorists are now a thing of the past. 

 Autochek, recently raised $3.4 million in a pre-seed funding round, co-led by TLcom Capital and 4DX Ventures with inclusion from Golden Palm Investments, Lateral Capital, Kepple Africa Ventures, MSA Capital and a number of local angel/seed investors.  

The start-up will use the investment to grow its Nigeria and Ghana markets and will see further investment in technology and growing its teams. 

The pre-seed investment follows Autochek’s acquisition of Cheki Nigeria and Cheki Ghana brands in September 2020.
