The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, Dr Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots development.
He made this known during the April General Meeting of the Community Development Committee (CDC), held at the Council Secretariat, where Community Development Association (CDA) chairmen, community leaders, and other stakeholders gathered to review ongoing initiatives and chart the way forward.
The meeting provided a platform for engagement, policy direction, and feedback on key developmental programmes within the LCDA.
Addressing participants, the chairman emphasised the importance of residents registering with the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency.
He noted that the LASRRA card is essential for accessing government services and plays a critical role in effective planning, data-driven governance, and equitable distribution of resources.
Dr Abiodun also reiterated the resumption of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, scheduled for the last Saturday of every month.
He urged residents, landlords, and CDA leaders to take responsibility for maintaining a clean environment and to support the council’s efforts toward promoting public health and hygiene.
Furthermore, the chairman highlighted the ongoing road grading exercise across various communities in the LCDA.
He assured stakeholders that the intervention is being carried out strategically and will be extended equitably to improve accessibility, ease movement, and boost economic activities within the area.
He reaffirmed the council’s resolve to sustain initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of residents and drive sustainable development at the grassroots level.
