Bajaj Records 31 Per Cent Sales Drop In September

Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a decline of 31 per cent in its domestic sales to 2,15,501 units in September 2019.
The sales stood at 3,11,503 units in September 2018, the company said in a statement.
Motorcycle and commercial vehicle sales witnessed a de-growth of 22 per cent and 8 per cent last month to 3,36,730 units and 65,305 units, respectively.
Overall, year-to-date sales (April-September) dipped 6 per cent to 24,20,765 units as against 25,66,085 units in the first two quarters of last year.
According to Nirmal Bang Institutional Equities, Bajaj Auto sales are expected to decline over a high base, although MoM may grow, driven by new model launches.
The company, which owns 49 per cent stake in KTM plans to roll out four-five models including some all-new ones over the next 12 months.
