Buhari Congratulates Siene Allwell-Brown At 70

President Muhammadu Buhari says he shares in the joy of celebrations as seasoned broadcaster, Siene Allwell-Brown, clocks 70, exuding the same poise, confidence and talent that made her a household name in the 70s and 80s. 

The president, in a statement by his media aide, Mr Femi Adesina, on Wednesday joined veteran Reporters and broadcasters of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Nigeria Union of Journalists and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in celebrating with the lawyer, who found her joy in media. 

He noted the elevating role of the ace broadcaster in Nigerian journalism, working first as a radio continuity announcer, before climbing the ladders with grace and passion to become a regular feature on prime time news on television. 

Buhari saluted the renowned broadcaster, legal practitioner and General Manager, External Communications of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company, as she turns 70. 

He believed that the standard she and her peers brought into broadcasting inspired many on the career path, and their disciplined style improved the information sharing.

The president prayed that Allwell-Brown would continue to bask in joy and good health in the years ahead. 

In a similar development, the president has lauded Ajose Aderemi, who turns 70 on Feb. 2, 2023, for spending a greater part of his life battling fire accidents and reducing the misery of untold number of people. 

The president, in a congratulatory message, noted that till he retired as Director of Fire Service, Lagos State, Ajose was committed to his calling as a firefighter, building himself professionally and academically, and bringing succour to many. 

He, therefore, saluted Ajose for charting a course of service to the public after obtaining a B.SC (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, following it up with certificates in Fire Basic Training, Advance Certificate Fire Academy Federal Fire Service. 

He also obtained Certificate in Fire Prevention and Handling Emergency in Moreton in Marsh, United Kingdom, International Fire Exchange in Chicago, Illinois Fire  Academy, US, New Jersey Fire Academy. US, among many others, and using the skills garnered to serve country and humanity. 

Buhari also acknowledged the dint of hard work that saw Ajose rising to Director Fire Service, Lagos State, from 2008 to 2012, winning many accolades. 

These include: The Best Fire Service in Nigeria awarded by National Emergency Management Agency ( NEMA)  in 2009, the Best Response  Director of Lagos State Government 2012, Fellow Fire Protection Association of Nigeria and Vice President, Nigerian Fire Service Directors 2008, 2011. 

He also won the Kwame Nkrumah Servant Leadership of Credence in 2018. 

Buhari commended the deft way the celebrant had combined public service with commitment to serving God, rising to the position of an Elder.
