Carloha Boosts 2026 Okpekpe Race Experience Through Innovation, Fan Engagement

Carloha Nigeria, the authorised dealer of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, added excitement and innovation to the 2026 Okpekpe International Road Race, reinforcing its commitment to sports development, healthy living, and community engagement.
The company played a significant role in enriching the experience of participants, spectators, and organisers during the prestigious race held on May 30, 2026, in Okpekpe, Edo State.
As part of its support for the event, Carloha deployed the rugged Chery HIMLA pickup truck as the official carrier of the giant race clock. The vehicle ensured the seamless movement and visibility of the timing system throughout the competition, contributing to efficient race operations while showcasing its durability, reliability, and performance under demanding conditions.
Beyond race logistics, Carloha transformed the event venue into an interactive automotive showcase by displaying some of Chery’s latest models, including the all-new Tiggo 9, Tiggo 8 Pro, the futuristic iCAR electric vehicle, and the versatile HIMLA pickup truck. The display provided attendees with an opportunity to engage directly with cutting-edge automotive technology while enjoying the sporting spectacle.
A major attraction at the event was Carloha’s extensive vehicle demonstration and test-drive programme. Hundreds of athletes, spectators, and visitors experienced firsthand the advanced safety features, intelligent technology, premium comfort, and superior performance offered across the Chery lineup.
The company’s pavilion emerged as one of the most vibrant engagement centres at the event, attracting athletes, families, sports enthusiasts, government officials, business leaders, and traditional rulers. Visitors participated in interactive activities, explored vehicle features, received product information, and learned about sustainable mobility solutions.
Among the notable personalities who visited the Carloha stand was former Edo State Governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, who personally test-drove the iCAR electric vehicle. His participation generated excitement among spectators and stimulated conversations on the future of electric mobility in Nigeria.
Former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, also visited the pavilion and commended the company for supporting sports, wellness, and community development initiatives while providing innovative automotive experiences.
Speaking on the company’s participation, Felix Mahan, General Manager of Carloha Nigeria, said the objective was not merely to showcase vehicles but also to contribute meaningfully to an event that promotes excellence, healthy lifestyles, and national pride.
“The Okpekpe International Road Race has become an important platform for celebrating athletic excellence and inspiring healthy living. At Carloha, we believe brands should contribute meaningfully to such initiatives. Our presence here was designed to enhance the overall event experience, support race operations, and give attendees access to innovative mobility solutions that improve everyday life,” he said.
Carloha also used the event to educate attendees on its CarlohaCare 6-6-7 ownership programme, which offers six years of free service, a six-year warranty, and a seven-day repair promise. According to the company, the initiative underscores its commitment to delivering exceptional value and peace of mind to customers across Nigeria.
