Catholic Archdiocese Of Jos Gets Acting Chancellor

Most Rev. Mathew Audu, the Catholic Archbishop of Jos, has appointed Rev. Fr. Daniel Gyang, as Acting Chancellor of the archdiocese. 

The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the archbishop on Tuesday in Jos. 

According to the statement, Gyang replaces Rev. Fr. Ray Ikpa, the former chancellor, who has proceeded on a one-year sabbatical leave in Scotland. 

The statement says that Gyang’s appointment took effect from December 17, 2021 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gyang, who was ordained a Catholic priest in February 2011, holds a master’s degree in Canon Law from the University of Central Africa, Yaounde.

He is currently the Parish Priest of St. Thomas Shen in Jos and before his current appointment, the Judicial Vicar of archdiocese.
