CMA CGM reshuffles Spain, Morocco, West Africa services

French container shipping giant CMA CGM has decided to upgrade its WAZZAN service and reorganize PHOEX and BEX services.
  The modified port rotation of the WAZZAN service, which connects Morocco and West Africa, is scheduled to start on November 8, 2016, with MV Delmas Swala at Casablanca.
The new port rotation will allow to save 6 days, while Dakar will now be reached in 5 days from Casablanca on a weekly basis, according to the company.
The new port coverage of the WAZZAN service will be as follows: Algeciras (Spain), Tangiers, Casablanca (Morocco), Las Palmas (Spain), Dakar (Senegal), Nouakchott, Nouadhibou (Mauritania), Algeciras.
The WAZZAN service is operated with 3 vessels of up to 1,200 TEU.
Furthermore, CMA CGM revealed that it intends to initiate a winter program by temporarily merging its PHOEX and BEX lines on the Asia – East Mediterranean trade in one string.
The changes will become effective on October 30, 2016, with the voyage of MV Cosco Shipping Panama in Pusan.
The new rotation of the two merged services will include ports of Pusan (South Korea), Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan (China), Port Kelang (Malaysia), Koper (Slovenia), Trieste (Italy), Izmit, Avcilar (Turkey), Constanza (Romania), Odessa (Ukraine), Avcilar, Piraeus (Greece), Port Kelang, Pusan.
