Comptroller Adebola Salawu Resumes At Lagos Industrial Area Command

Comptroller Adebola Salawu on Monday, resumed at Lagos Industrial Area Command as Customs Area Controller (CAC), following the retirement of Comptroller Sarah Mamza Wadinda.
The predecessor retired shortly after the commissioning of the ‘Customs Cares’ corporate social responsibility at the Festac Senior Grammar School in August 2025. The outgoing Customs Area Controller constructed and installed a water treatment plant, established an electronic library and also provided a photocopier.
The Customs Area Controller (Rtd) also refurbished and painted some areas of the school including the school toilet. Comptroller Wadinda (Rtd) said the success of the CSR project was achieved with the collaboration and support of some stakeholders of the command.
Comptroller Wadinda (Rtd) expressed her profound gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for the confidence reposed on her to serve at the Lagos Industrial Area Command.
She enjoined all officers to exercise their competence and give maximum cooperation to her successor for continuous trade facilitation towards an enhanced revenue collection.
The new Customs Area Controller commended the good work of her predecessor and wished her success in her future endeavors.
She enjoined all officers of the Lagos Industrial Area Command to extend the same hands of cooperation in her tenure.

Festac Town, she urged officers to take advantage of the newly boarded Unified Customs Management System (B’Odogwu) with emphasis on in-house training of officers and stakeholders.
