
The Customs Area Controller (CAC) in charge of the Oyo/Osun Area Command, Comptroller Gambo Aliyu, has pledged stronger collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Oyo State, describing inter-agency cooperation as critical to national security and public safety.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Akintola Abdulmalik, Comptroller Aliyu, accompanied by his management team, paid courtesy visits to the offices of both agencies in Ibadan.
At the DSS office, the CAC was received by the State Director, Rahim Adelakun. Comptroller Aliyu commended the DSS for its unwavering dedication to protecting lives and property, noting that its tireless efforts continue to safeguard peace, stability, and socio-economic growth.
Later, at the FRSC headquarters, the Area Controller was welcomed by the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Rosemary Alo. He lauded the Corps’ commitment to road safety enforcement and public enlightenment. “The Corps’ sustained advocacy has significantly reduced road accidents in the state.”
“No government agency can function effectively in isolation. We must continue to support one another because inter-agency synergy is the foundation of national progress”, Aliyu remarked.
In their goodwill messages, both the DSS and FRSC leadership assured Comptroller Aliyu of their readiness to strengthen existing partnerships with the Nigeria Customs Service for the collective good of the nation.
