
Comptroller Aliyu Alkali has formally assumed the headship of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, Kaduna, succeeding Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu.
Speaking at the handover ceremony held at Kangiwa House on Wednesday, Comptroller Shuaibu described his tenure as a “celebration of freedom,” reflecting on the fulfilment he derived from serving the nation over the past year.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the management team for the opportunity to serve. He urged officers to extend the same level of cooperation and dedication to his successor.
In his remarks, Comptroller Alkali thanked the leadership for their trust and acknowledged the challenges and responsibilities of overseeing one of the service’s largest zones.
He pledged to maintain professionalism and build on his predecessor’s legacy of peaceful operations.
