City Business News reports that the renewed partnership comes on the heels of the successful deployment of Asia Star electric buses to Abia State, marking a significant step in the push for eco-friendly transportation in the country.
As part of efforts to deepen the collaboration, the Asia Star team recently paid a working visit to Coscharis Motors’ facilities in Lagos. The engagement focused on strengthening operational alignment, enhancing performance delivery, and expanding the footprint of electric vehicles (EVs) in the Nigerian market.
Receiving the delegation, Coscharis Motors’ Director of Sales and Aftersales, Ufuoma Umukoro, described the visit as a strong indication of both companies’ commitment to delivering value through the partnership.
“The Asia Star team’s visit allowed us to align more closely on our shared goals and values. From insightful discussions to an extensive tour of our showrooms, aftersales facilities, and assembly plant, this engagement underscores our commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering top-quality electric mobility solutions to Nigerians,” he said.
Leader of the Asia Star delegation, Will Shi, business manager for Africa and the Pacific Region, expressed satisfaction with the level of investment and infrastructure observed during the visit.
He commended Coscharis Motors for its well-structured showrooms, fully equipped aftersales workshops, and ultra-modern assembly plant, noting that these facilities reinforce confidence in the partnership.
“This visit was to confirm the pedigree of our new partner. From what we have seen, we are confident that Coscharis Motors is well-positioned to help us deliver quality electric vehicles in the Nigerian market,” Shi said.
Also speaking, the Technical Lead for Coscharis Motors’ EV business, Chukwu Opara, provided feedback on the performance of the EV buses recently delivered to the Abia State Government.
He noted that ongoing collaboration between both companies is focused on enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and unlocking new opportunities for growth in the EV segment.
