
The Nigerian Mining & Geosciences Society (NMGS) has conferred its Honorary Fellowship Award on the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi.
CGC Adeniyi, now an elected Fellow of the Society, received the award during a Dinner and Awards Night organised to mark the conclusion of the Society’s 60th Conference and Exhibition, held at Chida International Hotel, Abuja.
The two-day conference, themed “Transformation of the Mineral, Energy, Water, and Construction Sectors through Innovation,” focused on discussions surrounding mining industry reforms, policy enhancements, and the broader public appreciation of geosciences’ role in national development.
The newly elected Fellows for 2025 included Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Mai Mala Buni, Dr Zacch Adedeji, Engr Abdullahi Sule, and Henry Dele Alake, among others.
