Eid-el-Kabir: Delta Speaker facilitates with muslims

The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya on Sundayemphasized the need for Nigerians to live together in peace and harmony.
 In a message on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, igbuya urged Muslims to hold on to Islamic tenets and the teachings which the Qur’an and Sunnah emphasize.
 “The teachings of Islam emphasize that we live with one another peacefully” he said.
 He advised Islamic faithful to submit to Allah’s command.
 He also appealed to them to them to identify impoverished persons in their localities and give them the opportunity to partake in the sacrificial feast.
 Igbuya who listed obedience, faith, sacrifice, thankfulness, generosity, peace, love for neighbours and training as major lessons from the sacrificial feast enjoined Nigerians to work together in unity.
   “Nigerians must stop viewing themselves in divergent lines. They must stop emphasizing their differences. They must contribute towards the unity, stability and progress of the country”
  In a statement in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Henry Ebireri, Igbuya urged Muslims in Delta State to continue to show support for government in order to move the state to a greater heights.
He urged members of the political class in the country to address the needs of young people, particularly those facing homelessness, joblessness and poverty.
   Ending the message, Igbuya said” I wish all Nigerians joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebrations”.
