All is now set for the public presentation of the book, “Efficiency In Trucking Operations”, put together by foremost road safety expert and former Assistant Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Augustine Aipoh, FCILT.
Information made available to City BusinessNews explained that the event is billed to hold October 19, 2022 at BOLINGO XPERIA HOTEL, Centra Area, Abuja by 11am.
Ex-Officio, National Union Of Petroleum and Natura Gas Workers (NUPENG PTD), Otunba Salmon Akanni Oladiti, National President, National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), Alhaji Yusuf Lawal and Senator Francis Alimikhena would be leading other dignitaries to the event.
In a chat with City BusinessNews, Dr Aipoh described the Book as one of his contributions to the transport sector.
Also expected at the event are Acting Corps Marshal, DCM Dauda Ali Biu, Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Secretary, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), Executive National President, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Alhaji Musa Maitakobo, National President, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Prof Tajudeen Ibikune Baruwa, among others.
City BusinessNews gathered that the Book chronicled the fundamentals of effective road freight and trucking management logically and scientifically.
Comprise of twelve (12) chapters, the book begins with an overview of the current state of road traffic safety and fatalities globally, vehicle types, classification, and characteristics in Nigeria, the UK, the USA, Australia, and other European Union Countries.
Dr. Aipoh is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Safety Consultants, a consulting firm in Transport and Traffic Safety and Management matters based in Abuja, Nigeria.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Transportation Management, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), and an Alumni of the Harvard Kennedy School, Executive Education, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Dr Aipoh was also trained in Transport Management and Traffic matters by the California Highway Patrol Academy, West Sacramento, California, USA. Before his present position, he was an officer of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Nigeria where he meticulously retired with an enviable rank of an Assistant Corps Marshal after 30 years of practical experience in traffic management, driving instruction, and traffic law enforcement.
