FAAN canvasses quality aviation fuel

THE Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN) has enjoined aviation  agencies  to initiate quality control mechanism to strengthen and make Jet A1, the fuel used by aircraft safer.

Managing Director of  FAAN, Saleh Dunoma, an engineer, stated this during his keynote address at the 2015 yearly public lecture organised by the Aeronautical Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

He commended the engineers for contributing positively to the development of the aviation sector and urged them to adhere strictly to the Public Procurement Act (PPA).

The FAAN boss commended the organisers for picking a relevant topic that has stimulated robust debate by the participants.

Guest Speaker at  the occasion and Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Emeka Ezeh, (FNSE), spoke on the topic: “Procurement, Avoiding and Navigating through the Iceberg”.

Ezeh, who was represented by a director from the Bureau implored strict adherence to provisions in the Public Procurement Act.
