FAAN Mourns Abdulrahman Musa

Staff of Federal Airports Authority (FAAN) on Thursday in Abuja expressed sadness over the death of Mr Abdulrahman Musa, Head of  Electrical Engineering Unit of FAAN, Lagos.

The MAX Air plight that flew the body from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport, Abuja by 11. 15am.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the arrival, FAAN staff who lamented the untimely death of late Musa, described him as dedicated, hard working and a just fellow.

Mr Sani Mahmud, FAAN`s Regional General Manager, North Central said the deceased was highly dedicated to his sensitive position that was paramount to the aviation system.

“ Musa was our colleague and our brother. We have known him all through our careers as a dedicated individual in the service of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria.

“For him to be occupying that position as the Head of Electrical at the Multal Muhahamed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos, his work is a very important task for the authority and the Nigeria as a whole.

“When he was alive, he tried his best to ensure that perennial issues at the MMIA came to an end. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace and God should give the family the courage to bear this irreparable loss.”

Contributing, Mr Niger Temlong, Ag. Director of Engineering Services, FAAN, said the late Musa was an efficient and effective at his work.

“The deceased could work tirelessly to ensure power supplies at MMIA remained constant.

“We were all very shocked when we received the news of the passing of a colleague, a brother, very had working staff. He worked tirelessly to ensure that our power supplies, especially MMIA, where he was heading remained constant.

“Everybody knows him as a very hard working and dedicated staff. You only become a friend to engineer Musa if you are hardworking.

“We are sad. Our prayer is that God Almighty will comfort his family. This is hard for us and we can feel all they are going through, “ he said.

FAAN Director of Airport Operations, Capt. Muktar Muye, who said the entire FAAN would miss the deceased, describing as a good mentor and friendly to his subordinates.

Muye said that he knew the deceased few years ago.

“ I came into the operation two years ago. Musa was an excellent, intelligent and dedicated person. I think most of the people working under him were being mentored by him.

“And to be very candid, if you are not hard working, late Eng. Musa would not be your friend. His death is a vacuum. It came as a shock.”

The deceased wife, Mrs Amudat Musa, said the death of her husband was a great loss to her and the children.

The wife, who said her husband was nice, lovely and friendly to her and the children, adding that her husband was a just person that hated cheating.

Mr Musa Ibrahim, immediate elder brother, said he was still feeling the agony of the bother`s death.

According to him, the entire family will never forget the kind heared and hard working man.

Musa died on Oct. 30, in Lagos.
