Female business owners to hold 2017 annual seminar, trade fair in Lagos

The Network of Enterprising Women (NEWN), a network of 200 female business owners in Nigeria and the Diaspora, is to  hold its 2017 annual seminar and trade fair tagged ‘Partnering and Collaborating for Business Excellence’ on November 23, 2017 at the KFA Event Place beside the Elevation Church in Lekki, Lagos.

Commenting on the event, NEWN group representative, Mrs. Augusta Nwokafor said, “Our network is a platform that encourages and supports women entrepreneurship. We work with members to grow their businesses. We understand and appreciate the advantages of collaboration and we are happy to share our resources and experience with those who seek our support .”

 “We are focused on adding value that will ensure sustainability of businesses and see members contributing to our national economic growth. Most of our members have never been to business schools but run successful enterprises. There are a lot of opportunities available to female business owners both locally and internationally; and we work continuously so that individuals can collectively leverage on these opportunities for mutual benefits.” She added.

The 2017 NEWN seminar and business fair will provide members an opportunity to learn from renown entrepreneurs and corporate organizations and a chance to present their products and services to more than 2,000 expected visitors.

Highlights of the fair that features more than 60 exhibitors includes dental checkup for attendants by SMILE 360, discounted business profile photographs and make up by Studio 24 and Bella Beauty. All sponsors and vendors shall receive free meal vouchers to be used at the NEWN food court, where a variety of vendors like Ovensbliss, One Centre, Cook Out and more will be around to satisfy guest cravings. Lovely leather designs from Mona Matthews, dazzling dresses from Asyian Fashion, Lophix and more. Jewelry delights from Jewelry Plus Ng, R1470byGudy, Statement Jewelry as well as monograms by KFA.

 The Baby Lounge will be on hand to offer crèche services to shoppers while the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and Ashrob Consulting will be there to offer business advisory and support to interested entrepreneurs. Premier Nigerian brand baby food maker August Secrets will also be there.
