The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has issued a stern warning to officers and marshals of the Corps to desist from all forms of incivility and patrol misconduct.
He emphasized the need to uphold the highest standards of discipline and professionalism while carrying out their duties, reinforcing that the FRSC stands as a beacon of integrity and service excellence.
Mohammed delivered the charge on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, during an address to personnel of the Zonal and Sector Commands in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He reminded the officers that every action they take on or off duty reflects on the organisation’s reputation and must align with its core values.
The address was part of his visit to the state to flag off the nationwide town hall meeting under the 2025 Ember Months Sensitisation Campaign. The initiative aims to educate and engage road users on safety precautions during the high-risk Ember period, characterized by increased travel and road traffic incidents.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to repositioning the Corps as a more formidable and responsive institution, the Corps Marshal called on all personnel to demonstrate renewed dedication to their responsibilities. “The task of ensuring safer roads for all Nigerians requires collective effort, unwavering commitment, and exceptional professionalism from every member of the Corps,” he stated.
The event marked a critical step in mobilizing FRSC personnel for increased vigilance, discipline, and public engagement during the festive season.
