FRSC, ICPC Strengthen Partnership On Anti-Corruption, Safety Reforms

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, to reaffirm the Corps’ commitment to strengthening corruption-prevention mechanisms among its personnel and across the institution.
During the meeting, the Corps Marshal highlighted several ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing service delivery and reducing opportunities for unethical practices. These include improvements in the National Driver’s Licence process to minimize human interference and curb sharp practices, as well as an upgraded Passenger Manifest System designed to boost commuter safety and emergency response efficiency.
In his remarks, the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu, commended the FRSC for its proactive reforms and dedication to transparency. He emphasized that the transportation sector plays a central role in national development and public safety, noting that vehicles are often exploited in the commission of crimes.
Dr. Aliyu stressed the need for stronger collaboration among the ICPC, FRSC, and other law enforcement agencies to promote safer roads, enhance accountability, and support a more efficient national economy.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening inter-agency cooperation in the collective effort to strengthen integrity, ensure public safety, and improve national transportation systems.
