FRSC Inaugurates 20 Junior Course 1 Participants

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has inaugurated no fewer than 20 Junior Course 1 participants of the corps’ Command and Staff College, Udi, Enugu State. 

In an address during the inauguration ceremony on Friday at the college, the Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, urged the participants to take the course serious and endeavour to perform optimally. 

Oyeyemi noted that the course was a rigorous task and a step to a bright future in their career. 

The corps marshal urged the participants to be committed and disciplined during the three months course. 

He commended the management of the college for always ensuring a conducive environment for learning.

The Commandant of the College, Asst. Corps Marshal Chidiebere Nkwonta, said the college few weeks ago, graduated its pioneer Senior Course 1 participants who were groomed and prepared for the tasks ahead. 

Nkwota urged the junior course 1 participants to exhibit a sense of discipline so as to be sound and highly equipped for the tasks after the three months course. 

He commended his predecessor, retired Deputy Corps Marshal Charles Akpabio, who was the pioneer commandant of the college. 

“Permit me to acknowledge my predecessor, retired Deputy Corps Marshal Charles Akpabio for his tireless efforts in making the college a success,” he said. 

Speaking, the Deputy Corps Marshal Training, Shehu Zaki, also urged the participants to show commitment and discipline as they underwent the course. 

“As professionals who are in the business of road safety in Nigeria, you should exhibit high responsibility and professionalism,” Zaki advised. 

Two of the participants, Jemila Iliasu and Michael Babasesin, promised to put what they would learn into practice at end of the course. nan.
