FRSC Mourns Former Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its former Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, describing his passing as a painful loss to the organisation and Nigeria’s road safety community.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, expressed the grief of the Corps in a condolence statement, paying tribute to the late Biu’s dedication, discipline and commitment to public service.
Biu, who served as the seventh substantive Corps Marshal, led the FRSC from July 2022 to May 2024.
According to Mohammed, the late former Corps Marshal joined the FRSC during its formative years and rose through the ranks, demonstrating a strong understanding of the organisation’s mandate and commitment to improving road safety administration, operational effectiveness and institutional development.
He described Biu as a distinguished officer whose contributions to the growth and development of the Corps would remain part of its institutional legacy.
“As a former head of this great Corps, he occupied a place of honour in our institutional history,” Mohammed said.
He added that Biu’s death represented not only the loss of a former leader but also that of a colleague, seasoned professional and compatriot who devoted a significant part of his life to the service of humanity and the safety of Nigerians.
On behalf of the FRSC management and workforce, Mohammed extended condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, friends, associates and others whose lives he touched.
He also prayed that Almighty God would grant the family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
