THE Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has joined other Nigerians in mourning veteran actor, cultural icon, and celebrity special marshal Chief Oludotun Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri.
Ohaeri extended the corps deepest condolences to the deceased’s family describing Jacobs as not merely an accomplished actor but a cultural institution whose remarkable career helped shape Nigeria’s creative industry.
He said that as a celebrity special marshal, he also lent his distinguished voice, stature, and influence to the cause of road safety and the collective responsibility of saving lives on the nation’s highways.
“His passing is therefore a profound loss not only to his family and the creative community but also to the FRSC and the wider road safety family.
“The curtain may have fallen on his earthly performance, but the legacy of the man, the master, and the patriot will continue to resonate across generations.
“We pray that Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest and give his beloved wife, family, colleagues, special marshals, and admirers across the world the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Farewell, Olu Jacobs. Farewell, our distinguished celebrity special marshal. Your light has dimmed, but your legacy will never fade.”
