FRSC Tasks Newly Promoted Officers On Dedication

The Benin Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has charged 378 newly promoted operatives to shun acts inimical to the ethos of the corps.

Mr Kehinde Adeleye, Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone Rs 5, compromising Edo, Delta and Anambra, gave the charge on Friday in Benin at the decoration of the officers.

Adeleye, who noted that promotion comes from God, said however, that it required hard work, commitment and dedication to earn promotion in the service.

He charged the officers to rededicate themselves to their responsibilities and to increase their level of commitment, saying the result for hard work was more work.

He urged them to shun any act that would make the public to question the credibility of the staff of the corps.

Responding on behalf of the decorated officers, Mr Aderemi Afolarin, lauded management for the promotion, assuring that he and his colleagues would not relent in working hard.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 186 officers and 192 marshals, making a total of 378 personnel were promoted in the zone.

Among those promoted was Deputy Route Commander Mr Nekpen Ehigie, the corps zonal public relations officer.
