
Ogun State-owned airline, Gateway Air, has announced the commencement of new domestic flight operations aimed at improving connectivity and expanding travel options across Nigeria.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued at the weekend by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, the airline will begin scheduled services on Monday, April 13, 2026, covering key routes including Iperu to Abuja, Abuja to Port Harcourt, Abuja to Calabar, Abuja to Jos, and Iperu to Kano.
Gateway Air said the flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, offering passengers consistent and convenient travel options. Economy fares are expected to start from ₦100,000 for one-way trips.
The new routes are part of efforts by the Ogun State Government to enhance regional accessibility, facilitate seamless movement of people and goods, and support economic activities across major cities.
The airline noted that the expansion underscores its commitment to delivering efficient and reliable air transport services, while contributing to national connectivity and regional development.
