Global Premiere Of New Skoda Kushaq Holds March 18

Skoda Auto India head Zac Hollis on Wednesday took to Twitter to announce that the Skoda Kushaq will be premiered on March 18. The Skoda Kushaq is the Czech automaker’s first Made-for-India car.
The Skoda Kushaq was christened back in January and the automaker also revealed the first pre-production prototype in the same month. Kushaq will be Skoda’s answer to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, the upcoming Mahindra XUV 500 and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun

The Skoda Kushaq will become the first car to be based on an MQB A0 IN platform which is exclusive for the Indian market.  

 The Kushaq will be offered with 2 engines- 1.0-litre TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol. The 1.0-litre turbo engine will be paired to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque-converter gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill will be paired to a 7-speed DSG. 

The Skoda Kushaq is expected to offer a total of 4 powertrain options at the time of its launch.
