IGP Appoints DIG Dankwara As New Head Of Finance, Administration

The Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of DIG Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.
DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired after more than three decades of distinguished and exemplary service to the Nigeria Police Force. Before his elevation to the Police Management Team, DIG Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he earned commendation for his outstanding leadership, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
While congratulating the newly appointed DIG, IGP Egbetokun expressed strong confidence in his ability to deploy his extensive experience toward strengthening the administrative and financial architecture of the Force.
He noted that the posting aligns with the ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigeria Police Force for enhanced efficiency, accountability, and operational excellence.
