In keeping with her vision to provide the basic necessities of living for underprivileged elderly people in Sub-Saharan Africa, starting from Nigeria, JBS Elderly Health and Wellbeing Foundation Africa has added yet another state to the number of states it serves.
Recently, several needy elderly people in Sabon gari, and Tudung Wada communities in Kaduna became beneficiaries under the Foundation’ Adopt a Gran program.
In the words of The Foundation’s Team Lead for Northern Nigeria, Juliet John, ‘The whole community and the selected elderly were all filled with joy. I’m glad JBS Foundation is doing this.’
A statement explained that “JBS Elderly Health and Wellbeing Foundation Africa is now extending much-needed care and relief to the needy elderly people living in northern Nigeria.
“This September, the selected elderly people received their first health check and supply of basic medications, foodstuff and toiletries.
“The Foundation has been consistently caring for the basic needs of many elderly people living in Lagos, Ogun, Abuja and now, Kaduna State. JBS EHWF Africa plans to continue these unique outreaches to care for underprivileged elderly people until it reaches the neediest elderlies in every region in Nigeria and entire Sub-Saharan Africa.
“JBS Foundation’s vision is founded on the conviction that elderly people need special care, attention and support. This year alone, the Foundation has distributed over 110,000 meals and plans to have distributed 1 million meals by December 31, 2022“.
