For three days, Abuja was transformed into a hub of luxury, technology, motoring and culture as Jetour Nigeria turned the Maha Event Centre, Garki, into a vibrant automotive showcase.
The Jetour Experience Abuja 2026, held from September 22 to 24, went beyond the conventional automobile exhibition, bringing together automotive enthusiasts, industry stakeholders, VVIPs, prospective customers and lifestyle aficionados.
The event featured test drives, technology demonstrations, panel discussions, spoken-word performances, acapella, violin music, Chinese cultural dances, art displays and a live stage play, creating an experience that positioned automobile ownership as part of a broader lifestyle.
Adding to the excitement on the opening day was popular Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe, popularly known as Odogwu Panrara, whose surprise appearance thrilled guests.
At the centre of the three-day event, however, was Jetour’s growing vehicle line-up, comprising petrol-powered models, hybrids and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Models on display included the X50, X70 Plus, X70 PHEV, X90 Plus, T2, T2 PHEV, Dashing and G700, as well as the newly introduced T1 and F700.
The test-drive sessions attracted significant interest, allowing visitors to experience the vehicles and assess their performance, comfort, technology and driving dynamics.
Speaking during a panel session, Managing Director of New Era AutoVehicle Services, Kemi Koyejo, said Nigerian motorists were increasingly looking for vehicles that addressed their individual needs and preferences.
Koyejo explained that there was no “one-size-fits-all” product, noting that Jetour’s “Jet plus Tour” concept and “Drive Your Future” philosophy accommodate different mobility needs through petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The Abuja experience also highlighted the expansion of Jetour’s operations in Nigeria since its entry into the market.
Executive Director of Elizade Nigeria Limited, Dr. Ademola Philip-Adewunmi, said the brand had established a growing presence across the country within three years.
He also highlighted Jetour’s after-sales support, one of the major considerations for Nigerian vehicle buyers.
According to him, Jetour vehicles come with a five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, while trade-in programmes and spare-parts availability provide additional support for customers.
“Nigerian buyers are increasingly research-driven. They aren’t just looking at aesthetics; they are paying close attention to technology, connectivity, performance and long-term value for money,” he said.
Safety and intelligent vehicle technology also featured prominently at the event.
Corps Commander Cherries Muta of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) commended the integration of modern driver-warning systems and proximity sensors into contemporary vehicles, noting their potential to support safer driving and reduce road incidents.
For Jetour, the event provided an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the Nigerian market.
Speaking at the close of the three-day experience, Jetour Senior Manager for Africa, Perry Huo, thanked Nigerian consumers for their support and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in Nigeria and other African markets.
By the close of the event on September 24, Jetour had delivered more than a conventional vehicle exhibition, combining automotive technology, luxury, entertainment, art and culture in an interactive platform where prospective customers could see, touch and test its growing range of vehicles.
The Abuja experience ultimately offered visitors a blend of automobiles and culture, while giving Jetour another platform to showcase its vision of building a mobility brand around not only what Nigerians drive, but how they experience mobility.
