For the month of November 2019, Kia Motors has announced global sales of 248,942 units, up by 0.8 per cent when compared to same month in 2018 when it recorded 246,942 units.
According to Kia Motors, the sales performance was led by RV model sales including the Seltos and Sportage Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV).
Kia sold 48,615 units of vehicles in the South Korean market last month, down 0.2 per cent compared to 48,700 units sold in November 2018.
The shipment of K5 mid-size sedan dropped last month as customers lined up for the launch of the all-new generation K5 model, scheduled to be launched in the Korean market later this month.
Sales outside of Korea climbed 1.1 per cent to 200,327 units from 198,242 a year before, backed by strong sales of SUV models such as the Seltos in India and the Telluride flagship SUV in the US, the company informed.
The Sportage SUV was Kia’s best-selling model globally with sales of 40,541 units last month, followed by the K3 (Forte) sedan and Rio (Pride) subcompact sedan models.
