Between August and December 2019, Kia Motors India sold not less than 45,294 units of the new Seltos Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
For the month of December, the carmaker sold 4,713 units. With 14,005 units sold in November 2019, the SUV is leading the segment consecutively for two months.
Meanwhile, the company has explained that it has received 86,840 bookings for the Seltos SUV. The car has sold 6,236 units in August, 7,754 units in September and 12,854 units in October 2019.
Kia is currently ramping up production of the DCT and Diesel Auto variants of the car to reduce the waiting period.
Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia Motors India, Manohar Bhat, said: “We are ecstatic to witness the tremendous responses for Seltos which is now leading the UV segment.
He also added, “This is a true testament to positive growth and the trust that the consumers have shown for us. We will continue to grow and surprise the country with Seltos and our upcoming products.”
