For the month of March 2020, Kia Motors India on Wednesday announced that the company sold 8,583 units.
Last month, the company sold 7,466 units of e Seltos and 1,117 units of Carnival MPV, the company said in a statement.
According to Kia, Seltos becomes the highest selling SUV in India third time is a row with 7,466 units sales.
Till now, the South Korean carmaker has dispatched 81,784 units of Seltos since its launch in August 2019.
During the month under review, company’s exports stood at 2,585 units.
“Owing to the global pandemic and countrywide lockdown, Kia Motors India had stopped its wholesale billings on March 16th 2020, avoiding unnecessary unsold inventory at its dealerships. Counting on the booking numbers of Kia cars, the company is expecting a positive sentiment in buyers for Seltos and Carnival after the lockdown period,” the company said in a statement.
Besides, Kia Motors has announced the extension of its free service period by two months. “During this time period, all Kia dealerships are available on call and are accessible for all their requirements through Kia’s various digital channels. Customers can also experience Kia’s industry leading online sales system and booking facility on its official website and for more information related to its services,” the statement addded.
