Kobe Bryant, Basketball Legend Dies at 41 alongside daughter, Gianna

Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Super Star is dead. He died alongside his 13 years old daughter, Gianna.

They both died in an helicopter crash on their way to the Mamba Academy near Thousand Oaks, California, for a basketball practice.

Bryant, 41 years old, who won five championships with the team and was often compared to the legendary Michael Jordan died this evening (Sunday) in a helicopter crash in California at about 10 am local time.
According to reports making round, Bryant and his daughter were among the nine passengers killed on board his private helicopter that crashed in the L.A. Country suburb of Calabasas.
An 18-time NBA All-Star, Bryant was widely considered to be one of the greatest basketball players of all-time. He was voted the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2008 and went on to win two gold medals with the USA Men’s Basketball team in 2008 and 2012.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of the crash near Las Virgenes Rd and Willow Glen St in Calabasas at around 10am after a fire broke out.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Witnesses reported hearing the helicopter’s engine sputtering before it went down.
It is unclear where the chopper departed from or where it was headed. The crash apparently occurred behind the home of Kourtney Kardashian.
