The Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) has intensified enforcement operations against motorists found violating regulations governing the use of Dealers’ Number Plates across the State.
City Business News reports that the enforcement exercise is aimed at ensuring compliance with established guidelines for the use of Dealers’ Number Plates and curbing their misuse by motorists.
VIS officials are conducting operations across various locations in Lagos, with motorists found contravening the regulations subjected to appropriate enforcement measures.
The Service urged vehicle dealers, motorists and other stakeholders to adhere strictly to the rules governing Dealers’ Number Plates, warning that violations would attract sanctions in line with existing regulations.
The enforcement, according to the Service, is part of ongoing efforts by the Lagos State Government to promote road safety, regulatory compliance and responsible vehicle ownership across the State.
